Aseem Sharma is the Head of the Telecommunications sector for KPMG Asia Pacific (ASPAC) and a Partner with KPMG in Singapore. With over 20 years of experience in audit and advisory across the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector, he has worked extensively across Asia, Australia, India, and the Middle East.
In early 2023, Aseem transitioned from KPMG Australia to KPMG in Singapore, where he now serves as the lead client servicing partner for some of the largest telecommunications operators in the ASPAC region, overseeing multi‑market engagements and strategic initiatives. In Australia, he led the telecom practice for his business division, and prior to that spent more than a decade with KPMG India with a deep specialisation in the telecom sector.
Aseem is well‑regarded for his pragmatic and collaborative leadership style, fostering strong relationships with Boards, CEOs, CFOs, and senior stakeholders. He is recognised for his commitment to long‑term value creation and for delivering complex, cross‑border engagements for some of the region’s most prominent organisations.
A member of KPMG’s Global TMT Leadership Team, Aseem is closely connected with the firm’s global network and contributes to cross‑region collaboration, global initiatives, and sector strategy for telecommunications.
He has extensive experience managing high‑priority telco accounts across both the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMA) and ASPAC regions. Aseem has played a key role in the KPMG Global Telco Centre of Excellence and continues to contribute as a subject matter expert on strategic global telecom priorities. He also serves as lead partner for multiple marquee TMT clients across ASPAC and is actively involved in shaping the firm’s thought leadership agenda for the sector.
Earlier in KPMG Australia, Aseem led major initiatives in client delivery quality enhancement, transformation, and audit innovation. He continues to contribute to similar priorities in KPMG Singapore as part of the Transformation Group, driving innovation and elevating service delivery. His experience spans accounting advisory, IPO readiness, and debt financing, and he has been part of the Accounting Advisory and Transactions Services practice. With multiple professional qualifications, Aseem also holds US GAAP and SEC reporting accreditations and contributes to the firm’s US practice in Singapore.

Hazril has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, bringing a unique blend of strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer excellence. His career spans significant achievements, including leading service delivery, service assurance and Sales teams, fostering key partnerships, and overseeing technical operations abroad, notably in Hong Kong. He has also contributed to major international projects, participating in technical working groups for various submarine cable systems like the SAT-3/WASC/SAFE and APCN2 cable systems. His oversight of international gateway operations has reinforced his reputation as an industry leader. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Kent at Canterbury and a Master's Degree in Information Technology from University Teknologi MARA. Hazril enhanced his project management expertise with a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University before becoming a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), further bolstering his credentials as a leader in the telecommunications sector. He also completed the Industry Immersion for Senior Leaders program at Singapore Management University, strengthening his strategic and leadership acumen.
