ATOM Myanmar Limited wins accolades at Asian Telecom Awards 2025
The company earned recognition for its Let's Play Arena 2.0 gaming platform as well as its commitment to customer-centricity and strategic partnerships.
ATOM Myanmar Limited has been named the winner of two prestigious categories: Digital Initiative of the Year - Myanmar and Telecom Company of the Year - Myanmar at the Asian Telecom Awards 2025.
This achievement is made possible by its innovative Let's Play Arena 2.0 gaming platform, customer-centric initiatives like the Maximus entertainment packs and engaging campaigns, extensive social contributions, and significant advancements in network infrastructure and digital services.
Elevating the gaming landscape
ATOM has taken a bold step in advancing the country’s gaming industry with the launch of Let's Play Arena 2.0 (LPA 2.0), an upgraded version of Myanmar’s first all-in-one gaming platform. Originally introduced in September 2022, LPA 2.0 builds on the success of its predecessor, offering an enhanced gaming experience for both casual and professional gamers across the nation.
LPA 2.0 brings a fully integrated gaming ecosystem to Myanmar, combining game offerings, tournaments, in-game purchases, and dedicated data bundles in one experience. The platform’s unique features include a Tournament Registration Platform (TRP), which is Myanmar’s first automated system for easy tournament registration.
It also has ATOM’s exclusive Fast Lane technology that offers low-latency and lag-free gameplay; gamification and rank points; an optimised game shop; and tailored data packages like Sate Kyite Shal Shot, which is designed to provide uninterrupted gaming experiences for gamers on the go.
Since its relaunch in February 2024, LPA 2.0 has achieved 4 times year-on-year growth in users, with a 138% month-on-month increase. Active users also surged by 850% year-on-year, and over 15,000 hardcore gamers have registered for events through the TRP. Furthermore, ATOM has made key partnerships that contributed to the growth of local talent and the e-sports community.
LPA 2.0 now generates over 30% of ATOM’s Gaming Revenue, driven by the platform’s in-game purchases and premium offerings. The platform is built to be scalable and adaptable. It can easily accommodate future expansions, including new game integrations and larger e-sports tournaments.
LPA 2.0’s modular design also allows seamless integration with new game partners and future technologies, whilst ATOM’s Content Management System (CMS) ensures that the platform is always up to date with fresh content.
Additionally, LPA 2. features dynamic pricing models that adjust in real time based on foreign exchange rates.
Customer-centric initiatives and community impact
ATOM has solidified its position as an industry leader through its achievements in product development, customer engagement, strategic partnerships, and philanthropy.
One of the company’s standout innovations is the launch of Maximus, a groundbreaking product that allows customers to customise their entertainment packs based on their preferences.
ATOM also boasts campaigns, including the "Win an EV Car" lucky draw and the "100 Million in 100 Days" initiative, which has engaged over 1.7 million customers and increased brand loyalty.
ATOM formed collaborations with handset manufacturers, banks, food providers, and insurance companies, which have helped the company bring innovative solutions to the market.
Beyond better business
ATOM contributed nearly MMK 5 billion to social initiatives from its inception to 2024, benefitting over 700,000 people in Myanmar. The company supported disaster relief efforts and educational programmes, set up ICT labs in schools, and provided free telemedicine services.
Technological advancements and employee growth
Aside from ATOM’s several technological milestones, it initiated technological advancements such as the ATOM Store App, which has reached over 5 million active users—a 15% increase from the previous year. The ATOM Star 2.0 loyalty programme also achieved impressive results, with 5 million new users and over 3 million users redeeming points in 2024.
The company also deployed a cloud-native 5G core network, the first of its kind in the country. This new technology improved network flexibility and reduced capital expenditure. ATOM utilised software-defined networking (SDN) as well for automated network management and applied AI and machine learning to optimise operations.
To address employee growth, the company launched the ATOM Leadership Development Programme and the ATOM Talent Accelerator Programme for growth and innovation within the organisation.
