Imagine Sdn Bhd wins two awards at Asian Telecom Awards 2026

The Brunei-based telecom company earned recognition for network strength and customer-focused brand initiatives. 

Imagine Sdn Bhd has been recognised at the Asian Telecom Awards 2026 with two national honours: Broadband Telecom Company of the Year - Brunei Darussalam and Marketing & Brand Initiative of the Year - Brunei Darussalam. The awards reflect the company’s continued focus on strengthening nationwide connectivity whilst delivering meaningful, customer-led engagement. 

The Broadband Telecom Company of the Year - Brunei Darussalam award acknowledges Imagine’s sustained efforts to expand reliable, high-quality broadband access across Brunei. Through Imagine FibreEverywhere, launched in April 2025 in partnership with Huawei  Brunei, the company has delivered faster and more dependable fibre connectivity to homes and businesses nationwide. In collaboration with Unified National Networks, fibre services were also extended to underserved areas, supporting broader digital inclusion and reinforcing Imagine’s role in Brunei’s residential and enterprise broadband landscape. 

Beyond connectivity, Imagine continues to support Brunei’s digital development through innovation, strong service delivery, and responsible growth. Strategic technology partnerships have enabled the deployment of smart city applications, drone-based solutions, and cloud analytics, supporting digital transformation initiatives across both public and private sectors. 

Customer experience remains a central focus. Sustained subscriber growth reflects strong market demand, supported by a customer-first service model. Dedicated account managers, complemented by omnichannel support through physical branches, digital platforms, and a 24-hour hotline, ensure consistent and responsive service nationwide. 

The Marketing & Brand Initiative of the Year - Brunei Darussalam award recognises Imagine’s multi-event engagement strategy anchored by the Imagine IFF series. The initiative began with the  Imagine Football Fiesta in Q1 2024, which brought communities together through sports and technology-led engagement. Featuring English Premier League legends and Brunei’s first live augmented reality (AR) show, the event connected with football fans nationwide whilst reinforcing Imagine’s technology-forward brand positioning. 

This was followed by the Imagine Family Festival in Q1 2025, held in conjunction with the company’s fifth anniversary. The festival celebrated customer loyalty through family-focused activities and the Imagine Grand Draw, rewarding customers for new subscriptions, recontracts, and service upgrades. In Q3 2025, Imagine Fit Fest further extended community engagement by promoting wellbeing and active living through fitness challenges, cycling events, and obstacle courses in collaboration with local partners. 

Imagine also expanded its brand presence through a series of large-scale national events powered by immersive technology and strategic partnerships, with the key highlights being the drone light shows that are fully managed and operated by Imagine’s local team. 

These included three major drone shows: Malam Gemilang UBD, delivered in collaboration with Brunei’s leading university and supported by student volunteers from  Universiti Brunei Darussalam. BIBD Mega Karnival, in partnership with Brunei’s largest Islamic bank, the Skylight Festival and the Starlight Year End Festival, in partnership with Jerudong Park Country Club. Each showcase combined creativity, technology, and community participation, reinforcing Imagine’s reputation for experiential innovation.

Mass-market engagement was further amplified through Imagine’s support of the Havoc Food Festival, the largest food festival in Brunei and the Consumer Fair & Trade Expo,  the country’s biggest annual trade fair. These high-traffic platforms enabled strong brand visibility, customer acquisition, and targeted product launches, complemented by digital activations such as 3D LED billboard installations across Brunei. 

Imagine also demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusive innovation and social responsibility. Safelink, an innovative safety bracelet for individuals with autism, applies  QR code technology to provide immediate access to emergency contact information,  reflecting the company’s focus on practical digital solutions with social impact. Community wellbeing initiatives included blood donation drives, one of which set a national record for the highest number of donations collected in a single event in Brunei.
