Telin remains steadfast in its commitment to expand global infrastructure

The company landed two major wins at the Asian Telecom Awards.

Digital telco Telin has been lauded at the recently held Asian Telecom Awards for pioneering secure global connectivity and for its aggressive efforts towards inclusive and sustainable connectivity.

The company owns an extensive range of products and solutions underpinned by robust infrastructure capabilities, particularly in submarine cable systems. With 250,140 km of submarine cables connecting Asia Pacific, Europe, and America, Telin owns 8 subsea cable systems, together with a few in development: SJC 2, Bifrost, and SEAMEWE6. This adds 15 IRU-owned subsea cable systems to its portfolio.

Recently, it has also initiated a new phase in the ongoing submarine cable projects, concentrating on creating additional ultra-low latency routes that integrate unique pathways and facilitate direct data centre-to-data centre access. This endeavour strengthens Telin's standing as a prominent player in the worldwide digital infrastructure arena in the Asia Pacific.

“With the goal of solidifying Indonesia's position as a hub for digital connectivity in the Asia Pacific region, Telin is actively cultivating digital infrastructure and platforms, catalysing the evolution of the digital ecosystem. Our commitment to technological excellence is evident in this revolutionary step towards secure global communications, combining innovation, reliability, and versatility in a comprehensive package,” the company said.

Another milestone produced is their solution to help mobile operators provide sufficient network security tools in place to control and manage the positive growth of A2P messaging.

The business of A2P SMS has its own set of challenges, especially its vulnerability to fraudulent activities. To overcome this, Telin offers control over their A2P traffic and opens up their secured networks to legitimate A2P use cases. This ensures customers secure filtering and revenue assurance of SMS traffic and extensive toolbox to enable monitoring.

Amongst the benefits of this management capability are the facilitation of A2P SMS monetisation by connecting customers with businesses interested in sending bulk SMS messages, maximising their A2P messaging traffic, as well as providing assistance in securing clients’ A2P messaging traffic and implementing measures to prevent fraud, ensuring the reliability of SMS messaging.

The company’s A2P Monetisation service simplifies customer engagement, ensuring top-tier SMS delivery and unmatched reliability. With seamless interconnection options, extensive coverage, and uninterrupted service, the programme offers versatile connection types, aiding businesses in monetising messaging.

“Our commitment to technological excellence is evident in this revolutionary step towards secure global communications, combining innovation, reliability, and versatility in a comprehensive package,” the company said.

In Indonesia, Telin has been managing A2P SMS traffic for Telkomsel and major operators since 2017, with nearly 200 million subscribers and an average annual traffic volume of 1.5 billion SMS. This solution has proven to help mobile operators maximise revenue, eliminate messaging threats, and monetise traffic.

The expansive coverage underscores Telin's commitment to providing reliable and comprehensive A2P messaging solutions for businesses operating in diverse international markets.

These initiatives have granted Telin two awards, Submarine Telecom Company of the Year - Indonesia for its active engagement in various projects that explore the future of digital connection, and the A2P SMS Monetisation of the Year - Indonesia.
