India boosts national 6G vision with reaffirmed EU cooperation
Strategic agenda aimed at advancing secure telco ecosystems.
India and the European Union (EU) have introduced "Towards 2030: A Joint India-EU Comprehensive Strategic Agenda," reaffirming their cooperation in secure digital technologies such as 6G telecommunications.
Endorsed during this year's India-EU Summit in New Delhi, the agenda supports the existing partnership between the EU's 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA) and India's Bharat 6G Alliance.
Through a previously announced Memorandum of Understanding, Bharat 6G Alliance and 6G-IA are exploring collaboration opportunities in the area of 6G, in line with India's national 6G vision.
"The strengthened India-EU partnership in advanced telecommunications reflects a shared commitment to building a trusted, secure, and resilient global digital ecosystem, benefiting citizens, industry, and the wider international community," said the Ministry of Communication in India.
"In this broader strategic context, Towards 2030: A Joint India–EU Comprehensive Strategic Agenda... aims to strengthen mutual experience-sharing on universal, meaningful, robust, and secure digital infrastructure."
