Viettel Solutions wins at Asian Telecom Awards 2026 for submarine telecom excellence

The company expands international connectivity with high-capacity submarine cable projects.

Viettel Solutions won Submarine Telecom Company of the Year - Vietnam in the Asian Telecom Awards 2026, recognising its leadership in developing global telecommunications infrastructure.

The company strengthened Vietnam’s position in international connectivity through strategic investments in advanced submarine cable projects. With a focus on expanding capacity and enhancing network reliability, the company established itself as the leading provider of submarine cable services in Vietnam.

Currently, Viettel Solutions is operating major submarine cable systems such as AAG, APG, IA, AAE-1 and ADC, which not only connect Vietnam with countries across the Southeast Asia Pacific region but also extend connectivity to Europe and the Americas, significantly enhancing Vietnam’s international connectivity capacity. Notably, the ADC submarine cable system was completed and officially put into operation in 2025, further strengthening Viettel’s global network presence.

In parallel, Viettel Solutions continues to invest in and develop new submarine cable initiatives, including ALC and VTS. Amongst these, ALC is positioned as a strategic intra-Asia cable system to enhance regional connectivity, whilst VTS – a Viettel-founded project – provides direct Vietnam–Singapore connectivity, featuring the lowest latency on this segment whilst optimising transmission performance and service quality. Looking ahead, Viettel will continue to explore and invest in new submarine cable systems from now to 2030, with a long-term vision extending to 2035, to reinforce international capacity and network resilience. This commitment underscores Viettel’s ambition to lead Vietnam’s international connectivity infrastructure and to elevate the nation’s role as a major digital gateway in Asia.

The company’s operations extend beyond Vietnam through subsidiaries in Asia, including Metfone in Cambodia, Unitel in Laos, Mytel in Myanmar, and Telemor in Timor Leste. This expansion strengthened Viettel Solutions’ international presence whilst leveraging growing telecommunications demand in the region.

Advanced technologies such as DWDM (wavelength division multiplexing) enable up to 600 Gbps per wavelength, optimising network flexibility and scalability. AI and big data analytics support predictive network management and performance optimisation, ensuring efficient and reliable services for clients. Viettel Solutions provides a range of transmission services, including IPLC, IEPL, and MPLS, with robust Service Level Agreements and 24/7 professional support tailored to business needs.

Cybersecurity is a core focus, with systems in place to prevent DDoS attacks, encrypt data, and monitor networks around the clock. Investment in R&D for 5G, IoT, and AI ensures Viettel Solutions continues to offer advanced solutions that meet global standards for connectivity, performance, and security.
