PT Eka Mas Republik wins two accolades at Asian Telecom Awards 2025
The company was recognised as Broadband Telecom Company of the Year - Indonesia and took home Infrastructure Initiative of the Year - Indonesia for the third consecutive year.
PT Eka Mas Republik, operating under the MyRepublic brand, has been honoured with two prestigious titles at the Asian Telecom Awards 2025: Broadband Telecom Company of the Year - Indonesia and its third consecutive Infrastructure Initiative of the Year - Indonesia.
These accolades recognise MyRepublic’s remarkable efforts in expanding broadband connectivity, pioneering cutting-edge infrastructure solutions, and driving digital inclusion across the nation.
Bridging the digital divide
Over the past three years, MyRepublic has made significant strides in expanding high-speed broadband across Indonesia, successfully building 5 million new homepasses and doubling its subscriber base since 2023.
Between 2021 and 2024, MyRepublic extended its reach to 56 cities and 88 regencies. Expanding to diverse regions presented multiple challenges, but MyRepublic implemented strategic solutions to ensure success.
MyRepublic strategically partnered with multiple vendors and used Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for optimised planning and resource allocation. To maintain quality during rapid deployment, MyRepublic also offered unlimited internet with no Fair Usage Policy and bundling services with OTT platforms like Vidio, WeTV, and Vision+ so that it could stand out in the market.
MyRepublic’s broadband expansion is built on future-proof technology such as Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), Dualband WiFi 6 & 7, OLT XGSPON, AI-driven auto troubleshooting, and WhatsApp Business Calling API.
By aligning with Indonesia’s Digital Vision 2045 and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) — MyRepublic has strengthened digital literacy and accessibility in underserved areas through educational programmes and subsidised internet for schools.
Advancing connectivity with smart solutions
In 2024 alone, MyRepublic achieved 3 million Ready-for-Service (RFS) homepasses, further cementing its role in driving Indonesia’s digital transformation.
MyRepublic’s infrastructure expansion is guided by intelligent, data-driven planning and next-generation technology, ensuring efficient deployment and long-term scalability.
Through GIS-driven Market Analysis, it evaluates key factors such as buying power, population density, competition, and housing classifications, ensuring strategic deployment in high-growth areas. Meanwhile, DWDM enhances backbone capacity, ensuring seamless data transmission across Indonesia’s growing user base.
By adapting infrastructure strategies to Indonesia’s socio-economic diversity, MyRepublic ensures that both urban and suburban communities benefit from stable, high-speed internet connectivity. With strategic housing and apartment coverage, it boosted connectivity in high-demand residential and commercial areas.
With further expansions, technology advancements, and community initiatives in the pipeline, MyRepublic’s legacy as a leader in Indonesia’s digital transformation is only just beginning.
