Telin recognised for cybersecurity and submarine network leadership at Asian Telecom Awards 2026

Telin has been recognised at the Asian Telecom Awards 2026 with two accolades: Cybersecurity Initiative of the Year - Indonesia and Submarine Telecom Company of the Year - Indonesia.
The awards highlight Telin’s continued investment in secure digital services and resilient international connectivity, addressing two of the most critical challenges facing enterprises and governments across the Asia-Pacific region.
Strengthening enterprise cybersecurity through operational readiness and certification
The Cybersecurity Initiative of the Year - Indonesia award acknowledges Telin’s multi-year effort to build an end-to-end cybersecurity capability for enterprise and government customers. The initiative responds to escalating cyber threats, stricter regulatory requirements, and the growing dependence on digital platforms across banking, financial services, media, and public sector organisations.
Central to this initiative is Telin’s Security Operation Center (SOC), which began operations in 2024. The SOC delivers continuous threat monitoring, structured incident response, and operational visibility across enterprise environments. This capability is reinforced by internationally recognised certifications, including the retention of ISO 27001, the addition of ISO 27701, and formal CSIRT certification issued by Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency.
Commercial adoption has followed operational maturity. In 2025, customers from the banking and digital media sectors contributed 75% of Telin’s cybersecurity portfolio revenue. One of Indonesia’s largest banks recorded 38% year-on-year transaction growth and 29% user growth after adopting Telin’s cybersecurity services, with Telin’s platform mitigating an average of 10,000 cyberattacks per minute.
Beyond Indonesia, the cybersecurity platform has been extended to government agencies and enterprise customers in neighbouring Southeast Asian markets, leveraging Telin’s existing regional presence.
Expanding submarine networks for capacity and route diversity
The Submarine Telecom Company of the Year Indonesia award reflects Telin’s sustained investment in submarine cable infrastructure amidst global supply constraints and rising demand driven by cloud adoption and artificial intelligence workloads.
Rather than relying on single-route expansion, Telin’s network strategy prioritises route diversity and resiliency. Capacity has been deployed across intra-Asia, trans-Pacific, and Asia-Europe corridors to support shifting traffic patterns and long-term growth.
In Asia, regional connectivity is supported by the Singapore Japan Cable (SJC) and SJC2 cable systems, alongside the Batam Singapore Cable System (BSCS). Trans-Pacific demand is addressed through integrated systems designed to accommodate increasing data flows between Asia and North America. Connectivity to Europe continues to expand through systems such as (Southeast Asia – Middle East – Western Europe) SMW-5 and PEACE cable systems, providing additional paths along heavily utilised Asia-Europe routes.
As a result, Telin recorded a 21% year-on-year increase in submarine cable system sales, the highest annual growth achieved in this segment. The award recognises Telin’s execution across network planning, phased deployment, and commercial delivery in a market defined by sustained international bandwidth demand.
