Indonesia telecom brand XL HOME bags two wins at Asian Telecom Awards

Complete internet, mobile, and entertainment product boosts sales by 43%.

Asian Telecom announced that XL HOME by PT. XL Axiata, Tbk has won the Broadband Telecom Company of the Year - Indonesia and Marketing & Brand Initiative of the Year - Indonesia categories in the Asian Telecom Awards 2023.

XL HOME is a super-fast and unlimited fibre optic home internet service that offers connectivity and entertainment packages. For its XL SATU product released in 2021 under the XL HOME brand, the telecom company has launched Indonesia’s first product that responds to customers’ needs for an all-in-one internet package for both mobile and home internet in one bill.

XL SATU offers the first convergence service in Indonesia that allows the customer to get super-fast unlimited fibre home internet service of up to 1Gbps and also the XL (prepaid and postpaid) mobile capability of up to 300GB that can be used together up to 5 XL numbers. Customers also receive a free Android TV Entertainment Box that allows them to access millions of content from movies to games on the google play store directly to their TV, everything in one bill. 

The customer also gets the ease of use myXL app, a hassle-free app to manage all family members’ internet needs. With this app, the customer can top up each family member’s data needs, as well as manage payment and billing to customer service at their fingertips.

“We introduced XL SATU which is the first convergence service to answer our customers' needs in Indonesia so our customers can enjoy the simplicity and also provide the best home and mobile internet for all families. Through a fully integrated marketing and localized campaign we want to reach as many as possible families in Indonesia to introduce XL SATU,” said Abhijit Navalekar. He added that “By targeting a persona of progressive Indonesian family, we launched our product during the biggest festive season in Indonesia– Ramadan season.”

As a result of these marketing efforts, the company achieved a 43% sales penetration for XL SATU since the new product’s launch, hitting its revenue target for 2022, as well as the highest growth of followers and engagement in social media for an internet service provider in Indonesia enabling it to win the Marketing & Brand Initiative of the Year - Indonesia.
