PLN Icon Plus Bags Asian Telecom Awards for Broadband Telecom Company of The Year
ICONNET has reached more than 1 million subscribers and 70% national coverage within 3 years only.
At the prestigious Asian Telecom Awards 2024, PLN Icon Plus has been acknowledged as Broadband Telecom Company of the Year for the first time. The Asian Telecom Awards honour and recognise PLN Icon Plus's extraordinary achievements in the telecommunications industry, not only in Indonesia but also across the Asia Pacific region.
This remarkable achievement was secured by PLN Icon Plus through ICONNET. This broadband internet service of PLN Icon Plus has acquired more than 1 million subscribers, covering 70% of the national area within just 3 years. Specifically, since ICONNET became known to the public in 2020, it has become the fastest-growing internet service in Indonesia.
This achievement has made ICONNET the second-largest broadband internet service in Indonesia by subscriber count. This is undoubtedly due to the strategic efforts of PLN Icon Plus to improve performance and commit to providing high-quality services, offering a comprehensive and integrated digital experience.
Among the strategic initiatives of PLN Icon Plus is the development of network infrastructure by increasing the value of PLN's electric assets and implementing cutting-edge technology supported by data analytics to deliver the best service to customers.
Beyond infrastructure, PLN Icon Plus also strives to enhance customer experience by refining three integrated applications: MyICON+ and the Virtual Command Center (VCC).
“Through MyICON+, customers can easily interact directly with staff and monitor the repair process if there are any disruptions. On the other hand, through the VCC, PLN Icon Plus management from the operational level to the BOD can monitor the repair process, communicate with staff, and interact with customers,” said Ari Rahmat, CEO of PLN Icon Plus during an interview on the sidelines of the event.
In line with government programs, the achievement of the Asian Telecom Awards 2024 will serve as a significant motivation for PLN Icon Plus to continue to drive digital equity in Indonesia through the provision of digital infrastructure, innovative and futuristic services.
