Tata Communications appoints Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as CEO designate

Tata Communications Limited announced the appointment of Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as its managing director and chief executive officer designate.
Lakshminarayanan has more than 30 years of international management experience, working with multinational corporations, B2B start-ups, and Indian enterprises, the firm said in a release.
He will take over from A.S Lakshiminarayan, current managing director and CEO of Tata Communications, who will retire in April 2026, it added.
Ganesh Lakshiminarayan was also the managing director and group vice president for ServiceNow India and SAARC, where he was responsible for driving market growth for ServiceNow, Tata Communications added.
He was the CEO of Airtel Business in India its enterprise business unit. Under his leadership, the enterprise’s unit reached a 50% growth over three years and increased market share from 30% to 33%.
Lakshminarayanan earned an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, USA, and holds a BS in computer science and engineering from Guindy Engineering College in Chennai, India.
