The new entrant achieves breakthrough growth within 12 months of launch, driven by insight-led products.
Eight Telecom has been named Telecom Company of the Year - Singapore at the Asian Telecom Awards 2026, marking a major milestone for the fast-growing MVNO. The company also received the B2C Initiative of the Year - Singapore award in recognition of its bold customer-first market strategy with strong value-driven performance.
Entering one of Asia’s most mature and competitive telecom markets, eight Telecom differentiated itself through a focused B2C approach centred on maximising customer return with a seamless omni channel journeys — delivering exceptional value across mobile and broadband offerings.
Within just 12 months of launch, the company captured more than a mid-six-digit subscriber base. Its growth was supported by an extensive nationwide retail presence spanning over 400 retail stores and service centres, strengthening consumer trust and accessibility. These locations provide accessible sign-up points with in-person support, enabling the brand to build trust amongst consumers who were hesitant to try out a new brand.
Expanding its commitment to a full-service ecosystem, eight telecom has recently launched its new broadband service, focusing on a “dual play” strategy that links mobile and home connectivity. The brand promise continues with brand trust and value positioning, where a consumer will first get a 28-day service guarantee to ensure fast and seamless onboarding without issues, twice-a-year internet checks, and a free 10 Gbps WiFi 7 router to provide the true 10Gbps experience, which is able to connect up to 88 devices.
Customer retention efforts centred on value rather than contractual lock-ins. The programme rewarded existing customers with free credits/free months, helping to manage churn and encourage continued usage. These initiatives were supported by hyper-local campaigns tied to festive periods, including “Switchmas” and Chinese New Year, alongside the introduction of the brand mascot Baba, strengthening local relevance and emotional connection.
Building on its award-winning B2C momentum, Eight Telecom has introduced new plan categories to serve broader customer segments. The newly launched Senior Plan is designed to provide essential connectivity at highly accessible pricing, supporting digital inclusion for older users who prioritise simplicity, reliability, and affordability. In addition, the company has rolled out 1-Year Plans, offering customers cost savings and price certainty in exchange for longer-term commitment—a move aimed at strengthening retention while rewarding loyal subscribers with enhanced value. These launches reflect Eight Telecom’s continued focus on practical innovation and inclusive growth.
Beyond commercial results, the company carried out targeted CSR initiatives. It provided free IDD minutes to support communities affected by earthquakes in Myanmar and Thailand, linking its services to practical assistance during emergencies and reinforcing positive customer sentiment.
