Profit optimism rise amongst tech, media, and telcos execs
Over half now expect profit to grow in the second half of the year.
Executives in the tech, media, and telecom industries are feeling more confident about their companies' profitability than they were six months ago, according to a new McKinsey survey.
About 57% now expect profits to increase over the next six months, up from 50% in the last two quarters.

Roughly 30% say they plan to hire more workers.
This marks a recovery from a dip in sentiment earlier this year, when only 25% were optimistic, down sharply from 41% in December 2024.

Expectations for customer demand have also ticked up slightly, with 52% of respondents predicting growth.
