Tata Communications Q4 profit falls 65.4%

Data and digital revenue continued to grow.

Tata Communications’ profit after tax fell 65.4% YoY to INR 263 crore in the fourth quarter of FY2026 despite stronger revenue and Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) growth.

Gross revenue rose 9.4% to INR 6,554 crore, whilst data revenue increased 11.5% to INR 5,684 crore. Digital portfolio revenue grew 19.2% to INR 2,909 crore, continuing to drive data growth.

EBITDA rose 14.4% to INR 1,284 crore, with EBITDA margin improving to 19.6% from 18.7% a year earlier. Profit after tax margin fell to 4.0% from 12.7%.

For FY2026, profit after tax declined 35.8% to INR 1,044 crore, whilst gross revenue rose 7.3% to INR 24,803 crore. Data revenue increased 9.4% to INR 21,352 crore, crossing the INR 21,000 crore mark.

Full-year digital portfolio revenue grew 16.7% to INR 10,621 crore, crossing 50% of the data portfolio for the first time. FY2026 EBITDA rose 5.5% to INR 4,822 crore, though EBITDA margin narrowed to 19.4% from 19.8%.
