Innovation and Impact

Vi Business’s unique A2P messaging service is built with customised retries configured to ensure SMS is delivered with utmost priority and within bank service level agreements. Security and encryption follow cutting-edge protocols like TLS 1.2 for critical banking traffic.

The policy on the Vi distributed ledger technology (DLT) platform is defined to filter and scrub certain signatures, keywords, and phrases to minimise spamming and scamming messages and thwart potentially fraudulent financial transactions.

Meanwhile, the innovative coding enables the A2P solution to be implemented in 15 vernacular languages in India to ensure that government schemes and subsidies are communicated to the non-English speaking population.

Through the blockchain mechanism, Vi Business is capable of accurately tracing the source and ownership of each commercial message sent to subscribers. The solution can detect the origin of all calls to action, URLs, mobile numbers, WhatsApp links and email IDs to stop phishing, then flag these to the concerned enterprise. Enhanced inter-operator connectivity through IP Signal Transport has helped Vi Business increase the success rate in delivering messages by 5-7%. 

Client confidence in using the Vi gateway to send OTP messages has also increased, with the majority of banks in India now using its solution for 2-factor authentication. Implementation of Spam & Scam filters has led to 4X fewer customer complaints.

On the marketing side, Vi Business has also developed a unique application programming interface (API) to acquire digital consent of message entities such as headers, content templates, and consent templates so clients can conduct more targeted campaigns that could improve and expedite returns on their investment. To further assure its clients, Vi Business actively engages with law enforcement agencies to provide sensitive information regarding fraudsters and grey market operators.

As a result of these enhancements, Vi Business's volumes and revenue have increased by about 20%, and are growing at double-digit rates year on year. Geo redundancy and 24x7 customer support for blockchain-based systems and telecom operations have also increased the A2P solution’s reliability and business continuity.
