Upcoming link part of Asia's growing digital infrastructure.
Intra-Asia Marine Networks (I-AM NW) has been set up to construct and operate a new cable connecting Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Jointly established by NTT DATA, Sumitomo Corporation, and JA Mitsui Leasing, the large-scale submarine communication cable is also intended to provide additional connectivity to Korea, the Philippines, and Taiwan.
The Intra-Asia Marine Cable (I-AM Cable) will feature communication routes from landing stations in Chiba, Mie, and Fukuoka in Japan; wavelength selective switch functionality; and space division multiplexing technology.
